Welcome to Room 6's Blog...

We are one of the Year 3 & 4 classes at Russley School. We aim to work together well so that we can achieve success in everything we do. To help us be successful students we use the Russley Dispositions. They help us to train our brains to think successfully when we are faced with problems where the answer is not immediately known. On our Blog you will find photos, videos, up-coming events, notices and a range of other exciting information that we would love to share with you!

Own Choice Writing!

Once a fortnight, Mr. Ish lets us do O.C.W, or 'Own Choice Writing'.  This is where we can use the 'Create and Innovate' Habit of Mind to be creative!

We're allowed to write about anything just as long as we're prepared to share it with either the class or Mr. Ish.

Some examples of O.C.W are:
- comic strips
- song writing
- adventure stories
- choose your own adventure stories
- poems

The sky's the limit! Some O.C.W will be added here...stay tuned!

LAWWEY

Once upon a time there was a lemon called Larry. He was having a wonderful

dream,’’ I’m sailing the seven seas on my own.

Larry did not like being on his own he liked being with Gooey grape and

Allie apple so he stopped at a island and Allie and Gooey were there.

HELLO MY FRIENDS” what may you be doing? Oh you know just hanging round AND

YOU KNOW WHAT? I found a new friend his name is Penny pineapple and he has

always wanted to be a pirate. “Wow that’s interesting I want to be a pirate as well.

That’s cool said Penny. Do you want to get some pirate clothes on? Ok where are

they? Just in the boat. “WOW look at that! “Ah thank goodness it’s not a spider,

said Allie. “No it’s a treasure box OMG really that can’t be true, said Penny. Well it

is. “Now we are pirates for sure” said Larry! “Now let’s sail the seven seas. 20

minutes later I’M HUNGRY! Said Gooey. “Oh there is some food in the basement here

is the key. “Ah I almost forgot that we need to dig some holes.

“Oh yeah we need more treasure we want to be rich.”

So they started digging and digging but they didn’t find anything.

“This is boring AND I’m tired, said Larry. “How about we not be pirates? OK. Well it’s

Mother’s day tomorrow so we should make a card I’ll write it now.

Mum, you’ve always been the best a better mum than all the rest.

I’m thankful  for  all  the  things  you  do . I’m  glad  my mum is  extra special  you.

On  Mother’s  day  ,  I  want  you  to  know  you’re  the  greatest  mum,  and I

love  you  so  there’s  1  more  thing  I  want  to  say  :    I  wish  you  a  happy

mother’s  day. Finished!  said  Allie.  Me 2  me 3  me 4 .  I’ve  got  4  envelope’s

So all the mums loved them and they lived happily ever after.

THE END!

BY RILEY.

Once upon a time there was a man called Kevin. He wanted to be a pirate. He always wished to be a pirate.

One day he built a pirate ship that was so big that a giant could fit in there. He built it at the sea so he could push it into the water. He pushed and pushed and pushed until it went into the sea. Then he climbed up onto the ship and sailed away.

Kevin was bored. Then he had an idea. Kevin had pictures in his pocket from when he grew a beard. He grew long beards, short beards, fat beards, and skinny beards. Kevin laughed and laughed and laughed. He laughed so much that he almost fell off the pirate ship.

Then, suddenly, fins started to appear. Mouths with sharp teeth started to appear as well. Then he knew what they were. They were sharks!

They were coming closer to the ship. Kevin put on the canons. But it was too late. One of the sharks ate a bit of the ship. The ship was flooding. Kevin ran into his hut. He looked in his chest.
At last, he found some wood. Also, he got some tools. Kevin took an hour to fix the ship. Finally he fixed the ship.

Kevin was bored and tired. So he went into his hut. Kevin yawned and went to bed. Then, suddenly, crash!

Kevin woke up. He ran outside and there was a sea monster! Kevin screamed. He ran as fast as he could. He ran into his hut. He slammed his chest open and got as many weapons as he could. He threw the weapons on the ground and grabbed his gun and shot as many bullets as he could until the sea monster died.

Hurray!” shouted Kevin, until a pirate crew came in a little boat. Kevin shouted down from the boat and said “Would you like to live with me?”

The pirate crew said “Yes!” And they lived happily ever after.

Sea Side

We hop in the car,
It will be a long ride,
Were going to the beach which has a high tide,
It will be a bumpy ride,
At the sea side,
My sister lied, and then cried at the sea side.
